A Computer Game For Blind Kids
"Find the Treasure"
This is a computer video game for blind children. Children interact with the game by hearing sounds and pressing the keys to move the main character - a knight.
The game has a visual display to make it easier for teachers and parents to understand the game and explain to the children. This is a 2D adventure game with simple rules. You are a knight on a horse and you move your character by pressing the arrow keys inside the squared world. Your goal is to find the treasure but you have a couple of obstacles. When you come one step close to the obstacle you hear a sound. If you step into the obstacle you loose the game (the monster eats you, you get lost in the woods etc.). When you're one step close to more then one obstacle you hear a couple of sounds at the same time. When you approach the treasure you hear something, also, everything else you need to know in a game you hear.
It's not an easy game if you're blind. You need imagination to remember where you've not been, and you need to be carefull not to loose the game
Installation. Just download and run this treasure.exe. The game is just one file (it's a Microsoft Windows application)
This game has been made especially for blind kids in special school in Serbia.
